OPEN DRAINS

If your paddocks get waterlogged in winter then open drains might be the solution for you. Open drains are an excellent and affordable way of solving excess water problems. 

TG Drains can install open drains with either a V-shaped bucket or a Spoon drain bucket on a 12 tonne excavator. As with our other machines, the excavator is fitted with laser equipment to ensure the drains are dug with an even grade.

The V-drain bucket digs an open drain with a batter of 60°. The spoon drain bucket digs an open drain with a batter of 30°.

In addition to digging the drains, TG Drains can also remove the spoil with a tipper behind the tractor. This allows us to dump the excavated soil on your paddocks, i.e. to build up lower laying areas or to cover rocky areas, where an traditional tiptruck wouldn't be able to go.
